Create Better YouTube Videos, FASTER (A 6-Step Process)

If you've ever struggled creating YouTube videos, either producing them, or after when you see poor view counts, then this is the video for you. I'll be sharing a 6-step process that I use to make YouTube videos faster, and better. More subscribers, more engagement, and more results. Let's make it happen.

Timestamps to help you navigate this video:

In a very particular order:

Step 1 – Create the Title First (1:52)
Step 2 – Create a Great Thumbnail (5:36)
Step 3 – Start Creating with the End in Mind (8:44)
Step 4 – Outline Your Video Content (10:10)
Step 5 – Create the Perfect Hook (11:40)
Step 6 – Insert Pattern Interrupts (13:00)

Thanks so much for watching! Let me know in the comment section below which one of these steps was new or the most helpful for you.

    Just like that, it’s live!

  3. KarmaCashflow May 18, 2020 at 4:03 pm #

This is right up my alley. Step 3 is the best. Think about the end result

Yes man! After Pat’s live feed, then yours, THEN THIS…I feel I have a personalized tailored course for me! I’m going to go over all three videos again later this weekend when I can sit down & re-watch w/pad and pen! Maybe I should say with Post-It notes and pens!

Exactly what I wanted to know. Just starting on building up good video-making habits. I’ll make a good hook for my next video.

Very true. Start with the thumbnail and work around, helped me so far!

    More Post-It Note love! Lol
It’s eye-opening to realize the difference between the process of writing a blog post verses making a YouTube video.

The most transformative for me was the sequence of the steps. I saw this live days ago & revised my workflow to this new order producing this week’s video. WOW! What a powerful difference it made in my content creation choices! Most useful step you showing how you develop & create your thumbnail. Thanks!

  11. Chaumette Solutions May 18, 2020 at 4:21 pm #

Most interesting point: doing the thumbnail first. My thumbnails are often the last thing I do. I will give your approach a shot.

I’m finding it hard to choose one because they are all so awesome! I feel like for me personally the hook being created at the end is a cool idea. I always try to start with a hook when I script a video. I’m going to give this creation template a try. Again thanks so much for posting!

  13. Reza Kamarudin May 18, 2020 at 4:29 pm #

Thanks so much! The most important part for me was “pattern interrupt”.

  14. Im Davis - Personal Finance, Career, & Wealth Tips May 18, 2020 at 4:33 pm #

Thanks for the tips Pat, I just started my channel and definitely need to improve on the perfect hook and pattern interrupts. Your progress from earlier videos inspires me on how far you have come due to your hard work and consistency.

Starting with the Title Instead of figuring it out later. I had a bunch of vlog footage that made no sense when it was edited together other than “Day in the Life”. I just made a few changes (Thumbnails and title changes)to my last few videos and I’m already seeing a change in traffic. Thanks Pat!

Great video Pat, going to start doing the thumbnail first as that’s actually my last item on the to do list normally. It would be awesome to have a new studio tour of how you light/film these videos. Trying to improve mine at the moment and it’s great to see what other successful entrepreneurs are doing for ideas 🙂

This was great man! Honestly,I feel like I’ve eaten 3 meals today with your live stream and this content! All great takeaways! The Post-It notes…, “Smack it, smack it good…” as perhaps Dr Evil’s Mini-me might have said afterwards!
