The Best Sales Advice You’ll EVER Get (The Secret to Selling without Feeling Slimy or Salesy)

To keep a business running, and to legitimately call yourself an entrepreneur, you need to make money – but how do you ask for the sale or pitch anything without feeling slimy or salesy? How do you promote something without upsetting your audience, and how do you ultimately get comfortable with selling anything?

In this video, you're going to hear the best answer I've ever heard in my entire life to the question: "how do you get comfortable selling something?".

Chalene Johnson, one of my mentors, was a surprise guest on the 155th episode of The Income Stream (my daily 8am PT morning show here on YouTube), and she dropped this HUGE value bomb when I asked her about how to get comfortable selling. This answer will change your life as an entrepreneur.

If you're interested in learning more from Chalene, who has personally coached me in my business too, check out her program, Marketing Impact Academy:

(if you purchase before the sale is over, I'll also include my course, Email Marketing Magic as a bonus!)

Let me know in the comment section below how this changed your mind, if it did. In my experience, helping tens of thousands of students, not being comfortable selling is the #1 reason why otherwise wouldbe successful entrepreneurs go broke. I hope this video helped you in some way.

Now go out, and serve others, and earn those sales!

@Pat Flynn how or where can I learn about tax implications and how to file taxes. I’m currently living in Canada but I’m a US citizen. Do I create the online business in US or in Canada? How do I file the taxes? Independent contractor? Sole proprietorship? LLC? How do I avoid getting double taxed from both US and Canada?

So true! I used to wonder why someone would pay $1000 for a simple report but I also forgot how much was both invested in my own knowledge AND how much a client would have to spend otherwise to get my experience and expertise.

Good reminder – thanks Pat! There’s that great Oscar Wilde quote that fits here: “A cynic knows the cost of everything but the value of nothing.” Emphasizing value to prospects in marketing messages is so important, and when Chalene talked about giving clients learnings from her $120K, it’s even bigger than that because she’s curating that experience for them and pulling out only the best stuff and, obviously, they don’t need to spend 2 years of their lives learning it!

You two just taught me a great lesson.
I’ll remember this going forward and make good use of it.
    Have an excellent day.
