100% Thanks Pat! I think another huge crucial point in making sure that a podcast is successful is making sure you connect with your niche. It’s very hard to get traffic to your podcast and even if you do try paid ads, one of the best thing you can do is actually engage with your community. Put links to your podcast in all of your social profiles and connect with other podcasters, podcast guests, comment on other people’s comments, etc. Besides paid traffic, this has been one of the biggest contributions to my podcast’s growth.

I remember listening to your advice about starting a podcast 2 years ago Pat. Now I have a global brand, a new income and so much more , all from a simple podcast.

I think we failed as a podcast. We we sold everything we owned in the USA and moved out the country. My family have been living abroad for 4 months now and don’t think we’re going back. We’re vlogging our journey on our channel. Thanks pat for another awesome video. You truly are an inspiration to many of us amateurs!

Do you have any resources on making episodes without a guest?

    • Marco Landin November 11, 2021 at 8:30 pm #

Butting in: depends on your niche, but you could do a personal report on a topical article you found, could do a “history of…” type episode, you could do a retrospective episode using pieces of previous eps about a particular subject, or a comparative product review ep for things that are relevant to your niche…. there are many options to interview episodes.

You are SUCH a teacher to us. My wife and I are in preproduction for our podcast on sexuality&relationships. We’ve compiled 55 podcast topics for episodes, have interviews recorded, and are settling on the right structure. As soon as we move into our new home this weekend we are beginning our episode recordings! Your channel is one of our main sources of advice & learning and we thank you for it!
