16 Things to STOP Doing on a Webcam (Video Conferencing Etiquette) – Remote Work at Home Tips

Make sure you follow these rules so you can look your best on camera and not potentially embarrass yourself with you webcam! 😅

Thanks to more and more people working remotely and working from home, I thought it would be fun to put together a video to showcase a lot of what I've personally learned since working from home and doing video conferencing almost daily in my business. Had a lot of fun putting this together, and I hope it made you smile, or even cringe (because at least it's taking your mind away from a lot of other things happening in the world right now).

Also, check out this video next: Top 10 Tips for Working from home (after doing so for 12 years!) to remain productive and without going insane:

Finally, don't be a webcam willy.

Let me know in the comment section below what tips I missed for webcam and video conferencing etiquette!

Thank you! Did you mention to turn off your phone and/or move it to another part of the room? It can be very distracting if it rings. Also, if you are texting or checking it all the time, it looks like you don’t want to be there or are disinterested. If it is a work zoom call, I guess others might not mind. Thanks again! Kathleen
