Hal Elrod shares his 5-minute rule to becoming emotionally invincible. That is, to never let negative thoughts control your life and the outcomes you desire. It's not about how quick this can be, it's about a shift in the mindset you have when things don't go according to plan, and how to re-write the story about what has happened, to affect what's about to happen.
Hal is the author of two books that have instrumental for me and my personal growth: The Miracle Morning, and The Miracle Equation (affiliate links to Amazon below):
The Miracle Morning:
The Miracle Equation:
Hal has been on amazing life journey that's led him to where he's at today, inspiring people all around the world, and best-selling author in multiple countries. He was in a car crash in his 20s where he was actually pronounced dead for several minutes before coming back to life, then only to be told he would never walk again. Through his will and determination, he was able to walk again, and has vowed to help others live their best life. He recently was diagnosed with cancer, and has beat that, too. This man is an inspiration to me, and millions of others, and I hope this 5-minute rule of his helps you, too.

Wow that was awesome, thanks for sharing
I don’t know how but this happens. I’ve been seeing videos and blog posts from Pat for four years. And in the past weeks I’ve read the Miracle Morning for Hal Elrod and knew about the five minutes rule and the Miracle Equation.
Now I’ve seen Half on Pat’s channel caught my attention.
Thank you Pat and thank you Hal. Great video. Looking forward to reading the new book The Miracle Equation from Half.
I love this, but you can change it from happening again though if you do something different. I beat myself up all the time. Pat I saved this to remind me I have five minutes to get over it and then I have time to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
I consider myself an unusually positive person… But unfortunately things are not usually this simple.
That’s not to say that taking a stoic or accepting view of reality isn’t the best way of living, but without a solid understanding the deeper underpinnings of why emotions arise, I could see this sort of thinking have the opposite effect and resulting in: “I am better than this emotion, I will push it away”, only to have it explode out in the future.
Great! Keep it up! Would you like to be YouTube friends? :]
Excellent video. Keep it up! Would you like to be YouTube friends? :]
Been on a path of acceptance all my life.
I love this. This works in every situation. It’s shortcomings come with your starting hand.
Sure, accepting you cant change it could come to you in 5 minutes when you hop in your Delorean and get that cheque. But when your anger comes from being born in Mumbai, eating dirt cookies, and being oppressed by a generational system built on generational wealth that you can’t even dream of – don’t even think about touching it – baring a miracle…
Gonna need an hour, buck. Five minutes ain’t cuttin it.
Good theory though.
