I film podcasts in different locations and understand what you are saying Pat. I film the podcasts with 3 cameras on tripods and up to three rode procaster mics going into my rodecaster. I wheel the audio kit in my big yellow peli-case which houses the mics, the rode PSA1 boom arms, the xlr cables and the rodecaster pro. The video kit is in my manfrotto backpack. Total set up time is like 15 mins and pack down time is like 10 mins. Honestly I don’t see the need for a custom case like the one here – it’s really bulky and has to be carried. It’s like your trying to solve one problem but creating another? Or have I missed something?
To have it open and be able to record in literally 3 minutes is worth the effort for the quality of show I want to have. The cables, mics, rodecaster PRO all in one spot, this is what I need. It’s like a large instrument – it’s bulky, but it allows you to create what you want to create, and I can have it on video as well and it looks good. That’s my thought at least.
@Pat Flynn thanks for your reply Pat, it would be really cool to see a real time video of you setting up with this kit.
So cool
Pretty cool, Pat! The unopened case reminds me of those portable turntables I used to have as a kid.
Nice to see good, practical design with functionality as the first priority.
Hi deep poket monster
Hi! 🙂
Could be the game-changer!
Hello! Thanks for the video, I am trying to figure out how to build a podcast to go as well. I have a question do you connect the camera with the sound recording when recording so it is synchronized or is it recorded separately and synced post production?
