Yup – gotta agree. Google is good at sniffing out these types of link pyramids, hierarchal link structures and link networks. My site has been practically destroyed by Penguin and a lot of honest brokers who subscribed to Google’s create compelling content tour de force lost a lot of traffic. Bottom line, you have to build sites that are less dependent on Google. You are going to have to find alternative methods of driving traffic to your site. Google can wipe you out with just one update..

Make sure you get your backlinks from a bunch of different sources – blog posts, comments, High PR profiles and social bookmarks. Keep mixing this up each month and you’ll rank fast.
