Social media referrals have been stagnant at 5% of all traffic for quite some time. The average Facebook post will reach only 5% of your followers.
Here's what happened. Facebook made some changes, and there are two primary reasons why organic reach is way down. One, there's more content. There's so much content being published that there's actually more content being published than there is space in the newsfeed. 510,000 comments and 293,000 statuses are posted on Facebook every single minute to give you an idea of how much content is being created. And personalized news feeds are way more important now.
So Facebook tailors what they show everyone, just like they do on TikTok, which can hurt your reach when you're posting and expecting your friends to see your content.
And this just isn't on Facebook alone. It's on most social networks. Instagram Reach is dying, YouTube is, and TikTok is. Most social networks do this because it also helps them with ad revenue.

One of the ways I been trying these days is using IG story to maintain the engagement with my followers using polls, etc.
The use of IG Story takes place when there aren’t much content to post on the feed.
I feel the same way, friend! These companies are too focused on making money through ads.
Is posting 3 times a week good enough for Instagram and Linkedin ?

Super relevant right now. I have been feeling the growing need to focus on reach and engagement. It is not the same as last year. Hootsuite’s research is accurate in my experience. I would only add that posting twice a day is becoming increasingly important since 5% of people are seeing your posts. A post at 10am – 11am gets good all day circulation and then doing a post at 7pm when most of your traffic is on seems to work very well too. Each post will drive traffic but differently. Now… with this, you still have to delicately balance engagement. Driving engagement in 2023 will be a big thing to focus on for sure. Meanwhile: I did keyword research for the keyword “payments with stripe” both on Ubersuggest and Semrush(audience target being Nigeria) and I got 2 highly contrasting results; the kw difficulty score on Ubersuggest was 17(Easy) and on Semrush 76%(Hard).
How do I manage situations like this?
Each SEO tool has their own data sources hence why you’ll see contrasting results. If you search the keyword on those search engines, and check the results you can get a good idea of the difficulty based on the sites that are ranking.
